Collective Brand Story
Alliance Property Management came to Tellwell in need of a new name and visual identity to better represent their brand. Through a series of workshops with the Alliance team, I gained a deeper understanding of the company’s mission, vision, and values; their target audience; and the services they could offer to alleviate renters’ pain points. I translated these notes into a Brand Story: a one-page document summarizing Collective’s unique approach to property management and calling their audience to action. This Brand Story serves as the basis of Collective’s brand voice, for which I also created guidelines. All of these materials can be found in Collective’s brand guide, created by the brilliant designers at Tellwell. My collaborators on this team included Emma Maddock (Lead Graphic Designer), Mark Traynor Quamme (Senior Project Manager), and Max Kringen (Creative Director).

“At Collective, we know that you want a comfortable and affordable place to call home. You want a space that’s yours, where you can enjoy a sense of community and rest assured that all of your needs will be met in a timely and friendly manner. You want a home base.
But with thousands of rental units on the market, it can be hard to know where to start–and when you do try to inquire about an apartment, you are often met with silence from large property management companies. This leaves you feeling overwhelmed, frustrated, and anxious.
It’s just wrong that you feel that way because there are plenty of exceptional and affordable rental options in your community; it’s just a matter of finding one that’s right for you.
We understand because we have been through the seemingly never-ending rental cycle ourselves. That’s why Collective has committed to doing property management differently. Our collaborative, hardworking team has created 2,200 residential spaces in six communities across the Midwest, and received thousands of five-star resident reviews over the past five years.
More than 4,000 residents have found their home base with Collective, and you can be next. Here’s how:
Step 1. Give us a call or submit an online request to get in touch.
Step 2. Share your budget, goals, and wish list with our Sales and Service Associate, who will work with you to find a unit that meets your needs.
Step 3. Open the door to your new home, and a new life with Collective.
So, avoid paying too much for an apartment that doesn’t meet your needs, and call Collective today to start your journey home. Until then, check out our website to explore our properties and read reviews from existing residents.”
